In this book, the challenge is “portrait lighting.” As you’ll see, each of the photographers featured in this book has a unique approach to the subject, based on their own tastes, the needs and tastes of their clients, the constraints and characteristics of the shooting environment, and a host of other factors. But ultimately, the goal is pretty much the same: to create a portrait that tells a story about the subject and satisfies—and hopefully, deeply satisfies—the client.
