Prove that the flux of the magnetic induction vector through an arbitrary closed surface is equal to zero (Gauss’s theorem for the magnetic field). Using this result, prove that if you cut a narrow slot in the magnetic core across the lines of force, then the magnetic field induction in the slot will coincide with the magnetic field induction in the magnetic core.
