Two neighboring domains, magnetized in different directions, are always separated by a transition layer of finite thickness (Bloch wall), in which a gradual rotation of spins occurs (see figure). Estimate the thickness of this transition layer for an iron crystal in which the magnetization directions in adjacent layers are antiparallel, the Curie temperature TC = 1043 K, the lattice constant a = 3.6 A, and the anisotropy energy K = 4•104 J/m3.
