A bullet of mass m, flying horizontally with a speed v0, hits a metal ball of mass M and radius R resting on a horizontal table at a distance R/2 above the center of the ball and ricochets off it vertically upward (figure). After some time, the movement of the ball on the table turns into uniform rolling with speed v1. Determine the speed of the bullet after hitting the ball.
