A body of mass m slides off a wedge standing on a smooth horizontal surface. The angle of inclination of the wedge smoothly changes from a certain maximum value in the upper part to zero in the lower part (Fig. 42). When moving to a horizontal plane, the speed of this body is equal to v. Determine the height from which the body slid, if it is known that the mass of the wedge is equal to M. Neglect friction during the movement of both bodies. Assume that the body begins to move along the wedge from a state of rest.
