Given a wire hanger, which swings with a small amplitude in the plane of the drawing relative to the given equilibrium positions (Fig. 6.14). In positions a and b, the long side is horizontal. The other two sides are equal. In all three cases (a - c) oscillations occur with the same periods. Where is the center of mass and what is the period of oscillation? Data other than dimensions cannot be taken from sketches. In particular, we do not know the details of the hanger's mass distribution.
