On a smooth horizontal surface at some distance from a vertical wall there is a ball of mass M. A second ball of mass m moves from the wall to the first ball. A central elastic impact occurs between the balls. At what ratio of masses M and m will the second ball, after the impact, reach the wall and, elastically reflected from it, catch up with the first ball? Both balls are on the same perpendicular to the wall.
