When studying the kinetics of coagulation of silver iodide hydrosol stabilized with a surfactant by an optical method, the value of the coagulation rate constant was obtained, equal to 3.2 * 10-18 m3 / s at 298 K. The viscosity of the medium is 1 cps. Compare this value with a constant calculated in accordance with Smoluchowski´s theory. Explain the effect of surfactants on the nature of coagulation.
