A charge with a surface density σ is uniformly distributed over a thin disk of radius R. Find the field strength E on the disk axis as a function of the distance x from the disk plane. Show that the electric field formed by a charged disk, in limiting cases, transforms into an electric field: a) an infinitely extended plane (x << R); b) point charge (x >> R).
